The Conjuring

The Conjuring

Genre: Horror

I decided to go and watch the Conjuring because I had never seen a horror film in the Cinema before. Plus, a friend of mine was badgering on at me saying that she wanted to watch it!
The first thing I will say to you is that the Conjuring isn't for someone who doesn't like jumpy films that have you at the edge of your seat the whole way through. In my opinion, It had a good story line to it. The fact that the house was old and slightly derelict was obvious but always adds effect to a horror film.
The scariest part of the whole film for me was the the doll, Annabelle. The whole film is said to be based on a true story and so is the doll. The actual doll obviously isn't going to look as scary as the one in the movie because the Director would have wanted the doll to freak out the audience and make them scared in the first five minutes of the film. However it is always scarier knowing that something like that exists somewhere in the world now...

People who enjoyed Insidious would love this film. It is directed by the same person and they both have the same feel to them; People being haunted and the family trying to stop the evilness from winning.
A down side I have with this film is that it had a happy ending. That probably sounds like an unusual thing to say but horror films stereotypically don't end with a happily ever after.
Even though I was terrified throughout, it was a great film to watch because the story and characters were well written and made the film worth the money.
I would definitely recommend to those of you who are adrenaline junkies or horror fanatics. However if you would prefer to sleep at night, this film maybe isn't for you...

Welcome!

Hello!

Welcome to my blog! I've always enjoyed both movies and writing so I thought it would be a great idea to put two and two together and write reviews about movies I have seen!
I got this idea when I was in the cinema last night. I was watching a comedy and I thought to myself, "wow. I'd love to share my experience of this film with people."

Every time I go to the cinema I watch all of the trailers and add them to the ever growing list of films I really want to see. Whenever I leave after watching the film I have gone to see, I text my friends telling them whether or not it is worth seeing. So now I can share my love for films with more than just my friends!
I apologise in advance for any spoilers there may be in the reviews, I will try my hardest to be sparing with information from the films.
I hope you enjoy reading about the films I have reviewed and maybe decide for yourself that you would love to watch them!
